A pirate scene is an adventure character, which means it needs a destination and a bit of scenery; Lace Index stocks roleplay costumes and lingerie in S–3XL, with selected 4XL, shipped in plain packaging. This checklist keeps the planning short and the evening loose. The pirate is an adult, the treasure is whatever you decide it is, and the voyage can be called off at any port along the way without any drama.

01
Before you buy
Choose one piece that reads as costume rather than underwear: a lace halter bodysuit with a sash, a mesh set with a loose shirt over it, fishnet stockings. Boots help. Check the fit sitting and standing, and make sure nothing needs constant adjustment. If you already own a dark lace set, a sash and a shirt will carry the character. If the piece has a sash, tie it loosely enough to move and tight enough to stay; test both before the evening.
02
What to lay out
Lay out the costume, a robe for afterwards, water, and one thing that smells good. Keep the room warm; fishnets and open floors are cold. Put a chair near the bed for boots. Clear a path so nobody trips on a sash in the dark. Small practicalities protect the mood better than any prop. Put the boots by the chair and the robe on the hook, so the end of the scene does not involve searching.
03
The map and the props
One prop is enough: a folded paper map, a coin, a length of rope used as a belt, a small box for treasure. Decide what the treasure is before the scene, and make it something small and funny. The map can be a note with three instructions. Props give the character something to do with their hands. Do not overbuild the story. Two instructions on the map are enough to give the evening a direction, and leave the third for next time.
04
Consent checkpoints
Agree on a stop word and a signal. A pirate character can be loud and commanding, so check in with a plain question at the start, middle and end. Keep the boots off the bed. If the scene involves tying anything, agree on safety scissors within reach and a rule that either person can be freed instantly. Say the stop word out loud once before you start, and agree who checks in first and when, so the question is not left to improvisation.
05
After the voyage
End with a line that closes the story: the treasure found, the ship sailed. Take off the costume and put the props away together. Talk about what was fun and what was fuss. A costume with a lot of pieces needs ten minutes of tidying, and doing it together is a decent way to come back to normal. If the props end up unused, that is fine; they were there to make the character easier to step into.

Questions
Quick answers.
What do you need for a pirate roleplay night?
Do we need a full pirate costume?+
No. A lace bodysuit, a shirt and a sash suggest the character.
Are props necessary?+
One is enough. A map, a coin or a small box gives the scene a task.
What if the costume is uncomfortable?+
Change it. Comfort matters more than accuracy, and a quick swap keeps the evening going.
