A vampire scene is mostly atmosphere, which makes it one of the easiest characters to carry off at home; Lace Index stocks roleplay costumes and lingerie in S–3XL, with selected 4XL, shipped in plain packaging. The timeline below runs from late evening to the point where the costumes come off. The vampire is an adult character, the bite is theatre, and the whole night is written so either of you can call it early.

01
Before dark
Set the room before you dress: low lamps, dark bedding, a cold drink, the curtains closed. Choose music with a slow tempo. Put a robe where you can reach it. Decide the one rule of the character: they do not rush. Everything in the scene follows from that. Keep the phone out of the room. A folded blanket at the end of the bed and a glass of water on the side table are part of the set, not an afterthought.
02
The dressing hour
Black lace, a sheer corset, dark stockings, one piece of silver. Dress slowly and let the other person watch or wait in another room. The costume should feel formal. Check the corset's fastenings before the evening and give yourself time to adjust; a piece that pinches will end the scene faster than any joke. If the corset is new, wear it for twenty minutes earlier in the day and learn where it presses, then take it off and check the hooks for wear.
03
The entrance
Enter without explaining. Stand still for a moment, then speak quietly and close the distance. The first line should be a compliment delivered as a fact. Take a hand, or ask permission to. The vampire's power in the scene is patience, so let the other person come to you. Keep the first line to six words or fewer; the entrance loses power when the character explains itself. Stand still after you speak and let the silence answer.
04
The long middle
Keep the pace slow. Talk, touch, move between the bed and the window. Use the stockings and the corset as the structure of the evening rather than a countdown. If you want to introduce a bite, make it clearly theatrical: a joke about the neck, a hand, a laugh. Nothing that needs a first-aid kit. Let the conversation wander. The scene does not need to escalate on a schedule, and the quiet parts are the atmosphere.
05
Before sunrise
End the scene before you are tired. The vampire withdraws, the lights come up a little, and the costume comes off. Water and a blanket. Talk in ordinary voices about which parts worked. Agree on a stop word before the first line and use it without discussion. Hang the lace to air and check the stockings for pulls before they go back in the drawer. If either of you is yawning, end it; a slow scene is not worth finishing at the cost of the next morning.
