Plan the fiction together
Decide who you are pretending to be, where you meet and what the first line will be. Keep the details simple: a bar, a hotel lobby, a party. Agree how far the scene goes and what happens if either of you wants out. The plan is what separates a game from an actual encounter with a stranger, and it is also what makes the game feel more daring. Choose the characters' names in advance so neither of you has to invent one at the table.

A public start, a private finish
Meeting somewhere public first makes the game feel real and keeps it safe. Have a signal for this is going well and a separate one for stop now. If you are meeting at home, arrange the room beforehand and agree what the arriving person will find when they walk in. Decide how the evening ends before it begins, so neither of you has to improvise an exit. Agree how long you will wait before the other person arrives, and what happens if one of you is late.

Dressing the part
Choose something that reads as a first date: a slip dress with a coat, a backless bodysuit under a wrap, a fitted dress and stockings. The layer matters, because removing it becomes part of the reveal. Keep your phone and keys with you, and tell a trusted friend where you are if the scene happens outside. Dress for the walk there as well as the room. A coat that covers the outfit makes the walk to the meeting point feel like part of the story.

The stranger's manner
The character can be forward, curious or reserved, but never pushy. If your partner's character says no, that no is respected inside the fiction and out of it. A good stranger scene is built on tension and invitation, not pressure. When in doubt, slow down and ask as yourself. The pretence is the point; the uncertainty is a flavour, not an actual risk. Curiosity is more useful than bravado, so ask a question and let the answer set the pace.

Breaking character safely
Agree a phrase that ends the pretending without argument. Use it if either of you feels uneasy, if someone else approaches, or if the scene stops being fun. Afterwards, talk about what worked. Novelty is easier to enjoy when the exit is obvious and the return is warm. A short debrief also tells you whether the game should be repeated. If the scene ends early, say so kindly and treat that as a success rather than a failure.
